Overview
• 01 Steel barrel. DeMarini 01 Steel is hands-down the strongest material ever used [*other than titanium] in high-performance bat construction. The industry's first steel barrel optimizes strength and weight for the pinnacle of singlewall performance. Also, the strength of steel allows for thinnest singlewall barrel design, allowing the wall to be half as thin as other singlewalls, putting it in a class of its own.
• Variwall Construction. Variwall construction redistributes material along the length of the barrel, reinforcing key areas while removing dead weight wherever possible. Variwall bats offer better balance & a more responsive sweetspot than traditional singlewall designs.
• Half & Half design with an evolution composite handle. DeMarini Half & Half construction combines an ultra-light composite handle with an aluminum alloy barrel. Virtually indestructible, the two-piece Half & Half system also redistributes weight for optimal balance.
• Flex-Tuned composite handle. Flex-Tuned handles are an integral part of the Half & Half system. First off, don't use this for anything but ASA. Awesome bat though. I'm 5'11, 195 and usually a corner to corner line drive hitter. First ball yesterday was a triple into the corner, second was a HR to left (cleared by 20ft), third was a double to the left field gap and the last was a homer barely over the right field fence. Hot bat that delivers right away without disappointing (just have to make sure you're swinging through, not up).

the bat is great while it last. i had mine 2 weeks and the end exploded out and almost took 3rd basemans head off

Where to start? Bought this bat 2 weeks ago. Had some batting practice on a Monday into the wind. The balls bounced off the bat pretty good and flew.......Wednesday was game time. First at bat, HOMER. 2nd at bat, in the park homer (ball hit the bottom of the fence). 3rd and 4th at bat, hit the fence in the air. I am 5'9, 155lbs.....Little guy hitting bombs now. :). A

Im just curious how this bat was reviewed in 2008 when its a 2010 bat? Also, Ive never split one bat and im in my 7th season. It just seems to me like theyre splitting cuz youre hitting the wrong balls.

Great bat ... for ONE PERSON!!! Don't use these bats as a team bat. Buy it for yourself and be stingy with it. Tons of pop and should last a couple seasons if you are the only one to use it. It goes with out saying but: DON'T use it in cold weather!!! It works very well with .44 core 375 balls. Doesn't take many swings to break in so don't waste swings using it in BP.

I had a 2008 Raw and used it for a season. I loved the bat but like everyone else, it cracked and lasted a season. Just bought my 2010 White Steel. Not quite broke in yet but it has a great pop already and a huge sweet spot! Make sure and rotate the bat after each hit using the marks on the bottom of the barrel. That way you won't create weak spots hitting the same area of the bat all the time. DeMarini recommends that you do this. It will definitely help with the durability issue. Not only that, but after the bat is broke in, I wouldnt use it except on game day. No doubt that when it comes to single wall bats, it's the hottest bat out there!!!

it is a good home run hitter bat but as soon as you get it broke in...... well needless to say we are on our fifth bat and they all are cracked one of them lasted maybe..........4 days!!!!!!! the replacement bat well didnt last any longer

Broke the 2009 received the 2010 as a replacement and it cracked during the second game.

Love this bat the best demarini in my book had it about two months played one season so far BUT it turned all black on me when i got it it was gray lol. that is the only con. so far

I'm on my second one because after about 75-100 hits it dented and split about 8 inches down the barrel. I haven't used the replacement bat yet but I suspect it will happen again.

I recieved the bat Tues. we had a practice 2 days later. A friend hit it about 50 times, he said he liked it, but he's a base hit guy. I used it next, and hit about 10 balls at 80% to get lose. Then I started swinging for the fences, and the 2nd swing at 100% it dented and split, they're sending me a new one.

i used this bat for the first time last night and man, do i love it. I am 6'0" and 175# and play in a coed ASA league. I got up to bat three time last night and hit two over-the-fence homers and triple. I know there are some durability issues with this bat but with the softer core ASA balls we are hoping it won't be a problem. I give this thing and A
